TomTom is reviewing its copy on Android

TomTom updates its GPS application to the terminals Android. Available for two months on the Google platform, it had some deficiencies which did not take long to be filled.

Upon its release on the store Google, TomTom was compatible with smartphones including the screen resolution was equal to 854 x 480 pixels and 800 x 480 pixels. Therefore, users of modern aircraft displaying at 1280 x 720 pixels were simply dismissed.

This new version 1.1 finally corrects this mistake, to use TomTom on Android devices showing a definition of 800 x 480 pixels and 1280 x 800 pixels, which brews a good portion of the installed base. Note that the Dutch publisher indicates that its application is also available on all Android tablets. After some tests, our colleagues explained PCInpact it will not install on Archos 101 XS, Google Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Asus TF101 / TF300T, even though they all adhere to the definitions accepted by TomTom.

Besides this, it is now possible to download a map in the background and stored on a microSD card if one is inserted in the terminal.
